Redundant terrorism in an unimaginative rut of banal nation dysfunction. War for Profit industrialism nudging a stalled train engine slowly forward on rusted tracks. The disappearance of Honey Bees. Colony Collapse Disorder. Fast Food mania=corn-syrup junkie nations. Media outlet consolidation and the endless desire to consume. Haywire experimental inoculations. Rapid planetary decay unfolding like a paper crane. The planet was in need of an intervention. It started (selfishly) through Recursive self improvement. "Intelligence amplification". Bio-engineering and genetic manipulation, direct brain-computer interfaces and mind uploading. Transhumans. Nanotechnology interacting with human neurons. Cybernetics. The Law of Accelerating Returns: Human extinction solidified as the eventual Future Machine Race radiates outward from the Earth in all directions. Saturating the entire Cosmos. Converting unstructured, inanimate "dumb" matter (Moon rocks, dead gas giant planets, meteoroids) into structured "smart" matter that supports the restructured proliferation of the A.I. race.
